The organic compounds desorbed from the activated carbon adsorbent undergo typical gas-solid catalytic reactions in the catalytic combustion chamber, where the catalyst reduces the reaction activation energy and enriches the reactant molecules on the surface of the catalyst. This enables the organic compounds to ignite and undergo flameless combustion at relatively low temperatures (250-300°C), producing CO2 and H2O while releasing a large amount of heat.
